[Classes 75 (ii) and 75 (iv).] An electric pendant or bracket lamp comprises a supporting means incorporating one or more holders for elongated lamp bulbs and a gallery for a globe, shade, or reflector which is adapted to surround the upper portion of the bulbs and to reflect part of the light upwardly for indirect lighting, the unscreened portions of the bulbs pro. viding direct lighting. In the form shown, translucent glass panels 12 are mounted in hexagonal galleries 5, 6 carried by a supporting rod 8 which also carries holders 9a for elongated bulbs 13, the upper ends of which project through holes in glass plates supported in the base of the gallery 6, whilst the base of the gallery 5 is fitted with an imperforate hexagonal plate of translucent glass. The elongated bulbs may be supported from below, the panels may be replaced by a globe or bowl, and the reflector may contain one or more additional bulbs controlled by a separate switch whereby the lamp may provide indirect lighting only. The Provisional Specification refers to the reflector being made of alabaster or porcelain. |
