A safety barrier for a dumper truck, the safety barrier comprises a support frame having two support arms, a support strut extending from part way along a length of a first of the two support arms to part way along a length of a second of the two support arms, a mounting provided at an end of each of the first and second support arms of the support frame for securing the support frame adjacent an edge of a back wall of a dumper truck skip adjacent to a cab thereof, so that, in use, the support frame extends upwardly from the skip, acting as a barrier in front of the cab. The two support arms may intersect at substantially 90°, and they and/or the mountings may be made of a metallic or plastics material. The barrier is particularly intended to protect the driver of the dumper truck from being struck by the bucket of an excavator when the latter is being used to load the dumper truck. |
