<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve authentication precision by registering a plurality of pieces of biological information (finger vein patterns) without imposing any load on a user, and reducing occurrence of any authentication error due to a difference between attitudes during registration and attitudes during authentication. <P>SOLUTION: A biological information reading unit 30 is configured of a living body contact part 31 in which a living body is set; a photographic part for photographing the image of the living body installed in the living body contact part 31; a drive unit 40 for operating the living body contact part 31; and a processor for performing image processing of the photographed living body. The drive unit 40 makes the living body contact part 31 operate up and down and right and left by using the installation face of the living body contact part 31 as a reference, and the photographic part photographs a plurality of images according to the operating direction of the living body contact part 31, and the processor executes processing for registering the plurality of images as biological information for collation, and records the plurality of images processed by the processor as biological information for collation in a recording medium inserted into an information recording/writing device 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
