<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rental item return system allowing a rental item to be returned through a delivery company and capable of easily managing a deadline for return of a rental item even for return through the delivery company as well as easily tracking a rented rental item. <P>SOLUTION: The rental item return system includes an identifier recording body for assigning an identifier unique to a rental item 5 to the rental item 5 or to a storage case 6, and includes: a means for authenticating rental data in association with the identifier at a rental agency; a means for authenticating that the rental item 5 or the rental item group has been collected in association with the identifier, when the rental item 5 dropped into a collection box under the control of the delivery company has been collected by the delivery company; and a means for the delivery company to inform the rental agency of collection and authentication data in association with the identifier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
