<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile robot for creating a map allowing accurate determination of the state of a radio environment communicating with a radio base station. <P>SOLUTION: The mobile robot R comprises a radio communication section 160 for performing radio communications with a radio base unit 1, a radio environment detection section 163 for detecting a plurality of kinds of radio environment data showing goodness of the radio environment including radio intensity received by a radio communication section 160, a comprehensive radio environment data calculation section 141 for calculating comprehensive radio environment data by assigning predetermined weights to the plurality of kinds of radio environment data, a gyro sensor SR1 and GPS receiver SR2 as self-position recognizing means, a storage section 190 for storing map data of a moving region in which the mobile robot R moves, and a comprehensive radio environment map creation section 142 for creating a comprehensive radio environment map by writing the comprehensive radio environment data into the map data stored in the storage section 190 while the comprehensive radio environment data is associated with the self-position recognized by the self-position recognizing means when the radio environment data is detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
