The arrangement has a multimode mixing fiber (2) including a curved gradient on a part of a length in spreading modes. A numerical aperture of the mixing fiber is larger than a numerical aperture of an outgoing fiber (4), which is coupled at an input of the mixing fiber and provides laser radiation (LS) at the input of the mixing fiber. A multimode transport fiber (14) transports the laser radiation available at an output of the mixing fiber to a process location. A numerical aperture of the transport fiber is equal to or larger than the numerical aperture of the mixing fiber. An independent claim is also included for a laser arrangement comprising a fiber laser.
