摘要 PURPOSE: An automatic operating device for a tailstock of a lathe is provided to reduce standby time for work by automatically moving back the tailstock after a certain time while operating the lathe. CONSTITUTION: An automatic operating device for a tailstock(200) comprises a connection part(10), a clutch part(20), a speed reducer and a motor part(30), a supporting part(40), a limit switch part, and a controller(60). The connection part is coupled with a handle of the tailstock. The clutch part makes the connection part move to the tailstock handle so that the connection part can be coupled and decoupled from the handle. The speed reducer and the motor part makes the connection part rotating in order that a main spindle, which is connected to the tailstock handle, is moved forward and backward. The supporting part supports the clutch part and the reducer and the motor part. The limit switch part is connected to the main spindle of the tailstock and detects movement of the main spindle. The controller is connected to the reducer and the motor part and the limit switch part and controls the reducer and the motor part.
