A mobile terminal and 3D image controlling method therein are provided, by which a user can be informed of a state of a 3D effect on one or more objects in a 3D image. The mobile terminal includes a first camera (121a) configured to capture a left-eye image for generating a 3D image, a second camera (121b) configured to capture a right-eye image for generating the 3D image, a display unit (151) configured to display the 3D image generated based on the left-eye image and the right-eye image, and a controller (180) controlling operations related to the 3D image, characterized in that the controller configured to determine an extent of a 3D effect on at least one object included in the 3D image, and to control the display unit to display information indicating the determined extent of the 3D effect. |
