<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that it takes a labor and a time to measure luminance values (color coordinates) of two colors which a subject feels equi-brightness. <P>SOLUTION: This equi-brightness measuring instrument shows the subject a moving stripe pattern by displaying it on a screen. The moving stripe pattern is a horizontal-striped pattern formed of alternately disposing first color lines 50a-50g and second color lines 52a-52g, and the luminance of the first color is gradually lightened towards the right direction, while the luminance of the second color is gradually lightened towards the left direction. The stripe pattern moves upward or downward at a constant velocity. The subject specifies a horizontal position x0 where the movement of the stripe pattern is unclear. This instrument acquires the luminance Y1 of the first color and the luminance Y2 of the second color in the position specified by the subject as a combination of the luminance values which are equi-brightness for the subject. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
