PURPOSE: An electronic coupon service system and a method thereof are provided to prevent people except beneficiaries from using electronic coupons. CONSTITUTION: A residential area tag(121) is issued to a beneficiary of an electronic coupon service. The residential area tag is attached to a residence of the beneficiary. Information about the beneficiary is recorded in the residential area tag. A mobile service terminal(107) reads the recorded information about the beneficiary. The mobile service terminal transmits the read information about the beneficiary to an electronic coupon server(103). The electronic coupon server certifies the beneficiary by using the read information about the beneficiary. The electronic coupon server issues an electronic coupon to the beneficiary. |
