PURPOSE: A user authentication system and method are provided to minimize online service use costs by inquiring an account database according to the login request of a user and approving login. CONSTITUTION: A membership management server(21) registers log-in information and phone number information. An account database(22) stores log-in information according to a user and the phone number information. A phone sending means(24) confirms whether the user answers the phone or not by calling to a particular telephone number for a period of time. A certificate server(23) inquires the account database according to log-in request of the user. The certificate server approves log-in when the user does not answer the phone. |
