PURPOSE: A backrest chair is provided to alleviate stress of a human body by preventing accumulation of fatigue, thereby enhancing mental abilities of a user and providing comfortable feeling. CONSTITUTION: A backrest chair includes a structure(104) fixed on a back plate, a brake operation piece(105) inserted in a horizontal part, a fixing part(106) projected in the center of the horizontal part of the structure, and a spring(107) which is respectively inserted between left and right brake operation pieces of the fixing part. The left and right brake operation pieces are supported in order to be restored with respect to fluctuations by the spring. The left and right brake operation pieces are formed in order to be fit into a concavo-convex shape formed in the structure of the backrest chair.
