PURPOSE: A connecting rod alloy powder composition and a method for manufacturing the connecting rod using the same are provided to reduce manufacturing method by omitting the installation of an additional high temperature sintering furnace. CONSTITUTION: A connecting rod alloy powder composition comprises C of 0.45~0.75 weight%, Cr of 1.40~1.60 weight%, Mo of 0.15~0.25 weight%, Mn of 0.3~0.5 weight%, S of 0.05~0.15 weight%, the rest including Fe and inevitable impurity. A connecting rod alloy powder composition comprises next steps. An alloy power is pressurized in the mold after the injection using a press in order to a preliminary mold(10). The preliminary mold is sintered in a sintering furnace. The sintered preliminary mold is pressurized in a forging press die. The forging finished preliminary mold is cooled under nitrogen atmosphere.
