PURPOSE: A fuel oil transfer apparatus is provided to prevent the backflow of heated oil in a settling tank and/or a service tank to a transfer pipe. CONSTITUTION: A fuel oil transfer apparatus comprises a fuel oil storage tank(1), a fuel oil settling tank(3), a feed pump(4), a fuel oil service tank(5), a suction pipe(6), and a down-flow pump(7). The fuel oil settling tank is communicated to the storage tank through a transfer pipe. The feed pump is installed in the transfer pipe and transfers the fuel oil in the storage tank through the transfer pipe to the settling tank. The fuel oil service tank is communicated with the settling tank. The suction pipe communicates settling tank and/or the service tank with the storage tank. The down-flow pump makes the heated fuel oil in the settling tank and/or the service tank flow down to the storage tank. A valve(15) with a spring(16) is installed in the downstream side of the feed pump in the transfer pipe. A valve with a spring is installed in the downstream side of the down-flow pump in the suction pipe.
