PURPOSE: A trunk-lid opening and closing device is provided to reduce a manufacturing cost compared with a traditional trunk hinge cover protecting the entire hinge arm. CONSTITUTION: A trunk-lid opening and closing device comprises a hinge arm(40), a trunk trim, and a cover member(100). The hinge arm rotatably supports a trunk lid. The trunk trim accepts the hinge arm. The trunk trim has an opening so that the hinge arm can rotate. The cover member is fixed to the hinge arm. The cover member shields a space between the opening and the hinge arm on the maximum open position of the trunk lid. The cover member rotates with the hinge arm depending on the opening and closing of the trunk lid in a state of being held in the trunk trim.
