MOLTEN METAL STOPPER APPARATUS HAVING IMPROVED HEAT ISOLATION

PURPOSE: A molten-metal stopper device with enhanced insulating performance is provided to ensure the insulating performance of a heater device since there is no size enlargement of an electrical heater or a heater cover or corresponding spatial constraints. CONSTITUTION: A molten-metal stopper device(140) with enhanced insulating performance comprises a stopper(141), an actuator, a heater device, and a heater cover. The stopper selectively opens/closes the molten-metal inlet(121) of a molten-metal supply pipe connected to an insulating path. The actuator operates the stopper. The heater is arranged to protect the stopper and prevents molten metal from coagulating. The heater cover is installed in order to surround the heater(149) of the heater device to shield heat of the heater. The heater cover comprises an outer cover(146) and an inner coverer.
