The method involves inserting recesses (8) in a component (2) through milling, and arranging an insulation provided with molds (10) corresponding to the recesses on the component. The insulation is position with respect to the component, and a fixed connection of the insulation on the component in an area of the recesses and the molds through a welding e.g. spot welding, by using an automatic welding machine. The insulation is designed as molded part and has an inner contour that is adapted to an outer contour of the component. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement comprising a component that is partially enclosed with an insulation.
