PURPOSE: A Bacillus amyloliquefaciens EML-BS2 strain and an agent for preventing plant disease containing the same are provided to ensure wide antibacterial activity. CONSTITUTION: A novel Bacillus amyloliquefaciens EML-BS2 strain(deposit number: KCTC 11692BP) has activity of preventing plant diseases and promoting plant growth. An agent for preventing plant diseases contains the strain, culture liquid thereof, or mixture thereof. An agent for promoting plant growth contains the strain, culture liquid thereof, or mixture thereof. The plant is pumpkin or Capsicum annuum.
