PURPOSE: A loss terminal tracking system and method thereof are provided to enable a user to rapidly find a loss terminal by accurately grasping the location of a portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: A portable terminal(200) connects with a service providing apparatus(100) in order to periodically confirm a current state. The portable terminal receives loss state information from the service providing apparatus. The portable terminal includes a client program which provides tacking information including the location information of the portable terminal to the service providing apparatus. The service providing apparatus provides loss state information to the portable terminal in order to enable user to confirm the current state of the portable terminal in case a subscriber terminal(300) requests the portable terminal missing. The service providing apparatus provides tracking information provided by the portable terminal to the subscriber terminal.
