PURPOSE: A light guide panel assembly having a thermal damage absorbers member is provided to prevent thermal damage to a light guide plate by blocking the direct transfer of a heat from a light source to the light guide plate. CONSTITUTION: A light source(40) projects incident light to a light guide plate(10). A thermal damage buffer member of a transparent material is included between the light source and the light guide plate and prevents direct transfer of heat from the light source to the light guide plate. The thermal damage buffer member is composed of a silicon material.
