PURPOSE: An airbag for pedestrians is provided to soften impact transferred to a colliding pedestrian in a car-pedestrian collision by inflating an airbag in front of a car. CONSTITUTION: An airbag for pedestrians is installed in the car bumper. A distance detecting sensor(2) for an airbag is installed in bumper. If object is closer than a uniform distance, the airbag inflates during driving more than a uniform distance with an emergency break.
