The device (100) has an open tightening ring (101) comprising a U-shaped longitudinal section to partially surround a perimeter of a hollow tubular element (104) for receiving an articulation axle. The tightening ring and the hollow tubular element are provided with position adjusting units (109) for adjusting the tubular element with respect to the ring along longitudinal direction of a motor vehicle. A fixing unit (107) cooperates with the adjusting units to integrate the tubular element in the ring at a determined adjustment position.
