PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing Lespedeza cuneata extract is provided to prevent skin irritation without cytotoxicity and to ensure antioxidiaton. CONSTITUTION: A Lespedeza cuneata extract for anti-aging is prpeared by mixign Lespedeza cuneata with water, hydrophilic organic solvent, or mixture solvent. The organic solvent is purified water, anhydrous or hydrous methanol of 1-4 carbon atoms, ethanol, propyl alcohol, butyl alcohol, glycerin, propylene glycol, or butylenes glycol. A cosmetic composition contains 5-30 wt% of the extract and is manufactured in the form of a skin softener, nutrition cream, massage cream, essence, pack, emulsion, oil gel, or mask pack.
