DETECTOR STATE MONITORING SYSTEM AND PORTABLE DETECTOR INCLUDING THE SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine whether a portable detector is in a portable state or a fixed state and to operate the portable detector in an operation mode determined in advance on the basis of the distinguished state.

SOLUTION: There are provided a portable imaging detector 14 and a method of operating the portable imaging detector 14. The portable imaging detector 14 includes a docking connector 100 having a plurality of docking connector contacts 122. The method includes a step of measuring a voltage at a first docking connector contact 122; a step of measuring a resistance between a second different pair of docking connector contacts 122; and a step of determining whether the portable imaging detector 14 is in a portable state or fixed state by using the measured voltage and resistance. A detector state monitoring system 100 is also discussed.
