PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an operator who operates a terminal to easily determine with high accuracy whether or not a user of an authentication card is a proper holder.

SOLUTION: A card authentication terminal 3 comprises: image recording means 12 for recording a base image collection consists of a plurality of base images; coefficient information acquiring means 11 and 13 for acquiring coefficient information corresponding to each base image from an authentication card 4 recording the coefficient information or a card authentication server 2 connected to a network 5; and image processing means 14 for performing composite processing on an authentication image used for determining whether or not the user of the card is the proper holder based on the base image collection and the coefficient information.
