<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply system capable of avoiding power shortage and wasteful power supply. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply system 100 includes a server system 110 and a plurality of power control systems 120a, 120b. The each power supply system switches between a power reception state that receives electric power from an electric wire network and a power transmission state that supplies the electric power to the electric wire network. The server system 110 establishes a communication session for communicating between a controller for the transmission side power control system 120b and a controller for the power reception side power control system 120a (111). The controller for the power reception side power control system 120a transmits a transmission state setting instruction through the communication session (121) and sets its state to the power reception state (122).
