CULTURE MEDIUM WITH YEAST OR SOY BEAN EXTRACT AS AMINO ACID SOURCE AND NO PROTEIN COMPLEX OF ANIMAL ORIGIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium for culturing pathogenic bacteria of non-animal derived proteinaceous material.

SOLUTION: A process for preparing immunogenic factors of pathogenic bacteria, includes: a step of culturing pathogenic bacteria selected from Helicobacter pylori, Haemophilus influenzae, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, Neisseria meningitidis, Bordetella pertussis, or Clostridium tetani in the medium with non-animal-derived proteinaceous material having at least 20 dry wt.% and no animal-derived proteinaceous material, and includes at need a step of purifying immunogenic factors from the medium, wherein the non-animal-derived proteinaceous material is a protein composition derived from yeast extract and/or soy bean.
