PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plated steel sheet combining high corrosion resistance of the plating itself and a protective effect on an exposed base iron in a continuous production process, which have been believed to be imcompatible with each other.
SOLUTION: The tin-plating or aluminum-plating surface treated steel material with excellent corrosion resistance contains an intermetallic compound consisting of one or more Group IIa (alkaline earth metal) elements and one or more Group IVb elements in a tin-based plating layer or an aluminum-based plating layer on a surface of the steel material. In the case of the tin-based plating layer, the length of the intermetallic compound in a massive form is 1 μm or more, and the ratio of a breadth to the length is 0.4 or more. In the case of the aluminum-based plating layer, the length of the intermetallic compound in the massive form is 10 μm or more, and the ratio of the breadth to the length is 0.4 or more.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
