Method for treating soot water produced from e.g. residual quench water, during treatment of raw gas of airborne current gasification of solid and liquid fuels, involves exploiting relaxation vapor clouds for heating cold soot water

The method involves performing airborne current gasification at temperature of about 1.900 degree centigrade and pressure of about 10 MPa. Relaxation vapor clouds are exploited for heating cold soot water (4) of a near relaxation stage such that more vapor clouds are generated. The vapor clouds of all relaxation stages are condensed and fed as salt and solid-free condensate into a process for quench and washing purposes, where raw gas of airborne current gasification is used for quench and washing and pH value of the soot water is adjusted between 4 and 6.5 before expansion. An independent claim is also included for a device for treating soot water, comprising heat exchanger.
