<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving operation support technique for reducing discomfort to a driver and supporting avoidance. <P>SOLUTION: When a vehicle MM is in an urgent avoidance state with respect to an obstacle, steering control and braking control are performed for urgent avoidance control. Upon determination that the vehicle MM has completed obstacle avoidance, the vehicle enters a standby mode for canceling the urgent avoidance control. Upon determination that the vehicle MM becomes stable, the urgent avoidance control is canceled. When an intentional driver acceleration operation is detected during the cancellation standby mode, only the braking control is canceled even before the determination that the vehicle MM becomes stable. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
