<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive starter which can quickly restart an engine while suppressing the consumption of a battery. <P>SOLUTION: An pinion 6 is formed in such a way that a meshing resistance between a ring gear 23 and itself may exceed pressing force when the torque of the pinion 6 is transmitted to the ring gear 23 and when the ring gear 23 is in either of a condition just before it stops or a condition where the ring gear 23 is being stopped, and meshing force between the ring gear 23 and the pinion 6 is also formed in such a way that the pinion 6 may work toward the releasing direction of the pinion 6 from the ring gear 23 when the number of rotations of the ring gear 23 exceeds that of the pinion 6 after an engine starts. After the engine starts, the pinion 6 is released from the ring gear 23 by a resultant force resulting from a force working toward the direction o the pinion 6 releasing from the ring gear 23 and a pressing force of a second return spring 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
