<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power source device capable of improving a protection function of a switching element without a complicated circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A power source device 10 has: a main switching element 15 having one end connected to a power source terminal, and the other end connected to an output terminal; a rectifier element having a cathode terminal connected to the other end of the main switching element, and a grounded anode terminal; a level shift circuit that converts the voltage level of a control signal for controlling the main switching element, and outputs the converted control signal; a driver circuit; a bootstrap circuit that supplies a power source to the level shift circuit and the driver circuit; and a regulator that converts a voltage from the power source into a predetermined voltage, and supplies the converted power source to the bootstrap circuit.
