REFRIGERATOR AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING COMPRESSOR OF THE SAME

PURPOSE: A refrigerator and a method of controlling the compressor of the refrigerator are provided to reset a compressor controlling unit and then operate a compressor if the compressor controlling abnormally operates. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator comprises a compressor controlling unit(200), a refrigerator controlling unit(100), and a switching unit(300). The compressor controlling unit controls the operation of a compressor(400) and transfers the operation information of the compressor. The refrigerator controlling unit creates a first signal opening/closing the compressor controlling unit and a second signal based on the operation information of the compressor. The switching unit is arranged between the compressor controlling unit and the refrigerator controlling unit, is opened/closed depending on the second signal and outputs a reset signal.
