<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic green sheet suppressing a crack during punching process and having high mechanical strength, and a method of manufacturing the ceramic green sheet. <P>SOLUTION: In the ceramic green sheet 3, ceramic powder 1 is bonded with a binder 2; the binder 2 includes a first phase 2a having as a major component a modified polyvinyl acetal chain made by binding a polyvinyl alcohol chain and a polyvinyl thiol chain to a polyvinyl acetal chain, and a second phase having as a major component an acryl polymer or a methacrylic polymer; the first phase 2a and the second phase 2b form a sea-island structure and binded with each other in which the first phase forms the sea and the second phase 2b forms the islands as the vinyl group of the second phase 2b makes radical chain transfer reaction to the thiol group of the first phase 2a. The mechanical strength of the binder 2 can be increased in the first phase 2a, and progression of the crack C can be suppressed in the flexible second phase 2b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
