<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a document collection system and method. <P>SOLUTION: The document collection system is provided with: an identification information reception part for receiving identification information of a document whose update has occurred from at least one site; a collection request transmission part for transmitting a collection request of the document to the site based on the identification information; and an update information collection part for collecting update information of the document from the site in response to the collection request of the document.
