<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet-metal yoke for a universal joint, effectively preventing breakage originating at a connection curved portion between each joint arm part and a base part. <P>SOLUTION: The sheet-metal yoke for the universal joint includes: the base part to which the end of a rotating shaft is joined and fixed; the pair of joint arm parts extending in the axial direction from two positions on the diameter-direction opposite sides relating to the rotating shaft in one axial edge of the base part; and a pair of circular holes formed in portions near the front ends of both joint arm parts in a mutually concentric manner to journal the shaft parts of a cross shaft. The longitudinal length of the connection curved portion between each joint arm part and the base part is twice or greater the plate thickness of a raw material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
