<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a difference between an actual fuel ejection timing and a desired fuel ejection timing. <P>SOLUTION: A control computer C calculates an engine speed using a pulse outputted accompanied by a rotation of a signal rotor 31. The control computer C calculates an average engine speed Ne1, Ne2 for a period during a compression process (θ1, θ2). The control computer C calculates a conversion engine speed in a basic ejection angle Pθ, Mθ using the engine speed Ne1, Ne2.
