<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the injection of a chlorine disinfectant is indispensable to prevent or suppress biofouling in a reverse osmosis membrane apparatus, but when a reverse osmosis membrane without chlorine resistance is used, biofouling occurs because the removal of residual chlorine causes the reactivation of microorganism, and meanwhile, when a reverse osmosis membrane with chlorine resistance is used, a burden of waste water treatment to dispose condensed water containing high levels of trihalomethane is required. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing freshwater with a reverse osmosis membrane is provided for obtaining permeated water by pressure-feeding raw water to the reverse osmosis membrane as feed water after the injection of chlorine disinfectant into raw water intake. The method is configured to remove residual chlorine from the feed water by adding thereto antibacterial metal ions, and feed the feed water containing the antibacterial metal ion to a reverse osmosis membrane apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
