<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, when vibrating a pan, a failure to give best suited vibration and rotation may cause an irregular moisture profile of rice and water to result in irregular rice cooking. <P>SOLUTION: The rice cooker has a pan heater 4 to heat a pan 2 containing rice and water and a rotator 17 to rotate the pan 2. For rice cooking, the rotator 17 rotates the pan 2 at a first speed for a first prescribed time and rotates the pan 2 in the opposite direction at a second speed lower than the first speed for a second prescribed time shorter than the first prescribed time. By doing these rotations at least once respectively, the rice and water being heated can be efficiently stirred in centrifugal and rotating directions of movements combined so that the entire rice in the pan can be cooked even and tasty without half-cooking and watery rice. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
