摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic irradiation device for visually showing a focal position of emitted ultrasound. <P>SOLUTION: A concave spherical ultrasonic transducer 2 emits focus ultrasound that focuses on a focal area FA. A casing 1 formed of an ultrasound absorption material is substantially conical. An ultrasonic emitting hole part 1a covered with a thin film 4 propagating the ultrasound is formed at the apex. The position of the focal area FA is designed to be located outside the thin film 4 when seen from the casing 1. The focal area FA and the thin film 4 has a predetermined positional relationship. Therefore, a user brings the thin film 4 as a distal end part of the ultrasonic irradiation device close to a position to be irradiated with the focus ultrasound, to be irradiated with ultrasound, thereby irradiating a target position with the focus ultrasound. The ultrasound emitted from the ultrasonic transducer 2 and does not travel to the focal area FA is adsorbed in a surface in the casing 1.
