<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve work efficiency by simplifying change of the fender width. <P>SOLUTION: The axle tillage type walking plant husbandry machine 1 has a plurality of tilling pawls 10 in an axle 9 extending outwardly sideways in the lateral direction from a machine body. The walking plant husbandry machine 1 includes: fixed fenders 18 which cover the upper part of a base of the axle 9; and a pair of right and left extension fenders 20 extending outwardly sideways in the lateral direction further than the fixed fenders 18 to extend the fender width.
