The invention relates to a method for locating the wiring in an aircraft provided with a harness database (11) containing data relating to the aircraft wiring, said method comprising the following steps: placing a set of radio frequency markers (7) on a harness (3a) of the wiring in pre-determined positions in order to mark said positions in relation to the harness, each of the radio frequency markers (7) being identified by a unique identifier; reading the identifiers of the radio frequency makers along the length of the harness (3a); and recording said identifiers in the harness database (11), linking same to the relative positions of the radio frequency markers (7) on the harness (3a), the radio frequency markers (7) and the database (11) being configured to be interfaced with one another via a read means.
