<p>Disclosed is an isolated fusion protein comprising at least one polypeptide comprising: (a) a first amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of amino acids 1-301, amino acids 24-301, amino acids 1-344, and amino acid 24-344 of SEQ ID NO:6, the first amino acid sequence capable of binding a RAGE ligand; and (b) a second amino acid sequence at least 95% identical to a human heavy chain immunoglobulin IgG4 constant domain or a fragment thereof.</p>
