<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger with a ring disposed around a base tube which connects an adjacent component and the heat exchanger, and capable of reducing a weight of the component, and being economically manufactured. <P>SOLUTION: The heat exchanger for an internal combustion engine includes the base tube 2 having the annular ring 8 and a tube bottom 3 at a terminal end side, end caps 12, 13 are disposed in a region of the tube bottom 3, one end cap 13 includes an annular bend 14 directing outward, the bend is surrounded by a detachable tension application element 15, and connected with the ring 8, and an annular seal element 16 is disposed between the bend 14 and the ring 8. The ring 8 includes legs 9 made of a plate material, and disposed between the ring and the tube bottom 3 at the terminal end side while being aligned to each other to form the V-shaped cross section, and the legs 9 include flanges 11 at their ends and connected to each other through a web 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
