<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the luminance of a β-type-sialon fluorophor. <P>SOLUTION: A method for producing the β-type-sialon fluorophor is provided, which is characterized by including a step of baking a fluorophor raw material adjusted to the composition ratio represented by formula [1]: Si<SB POS="POST">6-x</SB>Al<SB POS="POST">x</SB>O<SB POS="POST">x</SB>N<SB POS="POST">8-x</SB>:Eu<SB POS="POST">y</SB>[1] (wherein, x and y are numbers meeting the relationships: 0≤x≤4.2 and 0.001≤y≤0.03) in the presence of SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>. It is preferable that the amount of the SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>present in the baking step is ≥0.01 wt.% and ≤2.8 wt.% based on the whole baked product (the total of the fluorophor raw material and the SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
