<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk which can further reduce a magnetic space, and has high reliability with a small floating amount of a magnetic head accompanied by a recent and rapid tendency of high-record density, and with extremely severe environmental resistance accompanied by the versatilIty of usage. <P>SOLUTION: In the magnetic disk in which at least a magnetic layer, a protective layer and a lubricant layer are sequentially formed on a base board, the lubricant layer contains a lubricant compound for the magnetic disk which has a perfluoropolyether main chain in a molecular structure, and a structure expressed by -O-CH<SB POS="POST">2</SB>-CH(OH)-CH<SB POS="POST">2</SB>-CH<SB POS="POST">2</SB>-CH(OH)-CH<SB POS="POST">2</SB>-O-, or -O-CH<SB POS="POST">2</SB>-CH(OH)-CH(OH)-CH<SB POS="POST">2</SB>-O-, in a position in the vicinity of the center of a molecule. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
