<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-vehicle information processing device capable of reducing time and labor of a user in user authentication. <P>SOLUTION: A car navigation device 1 is loaded on a vehicle 100, specifies the user based on an operational content by requiring the user to operate authentication input by a user authentication unit 11 at start up of the vehicle 100, and validates usable functions for the specified user. The car navigation device 1 comprises an information storage unit 5 for storing a base position of the user and a current position acquiring unit 3 for specifying a current position of the vehicle 100, compares the base position stored in the information storage unit 5 and the current position of the vehicle specified by the current position acquiring unit 3 when parking the vehicle 100, and based on a comparison result, determines whether or not to require the user to operate the authentication input at the next start up of the vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
