HCV/HIV inhibitors and their uses

Disclosed herein are spirocyclic substituted pyrrolidine compounds of formula (I) - where X is CR5R5a with CR5R5a together forming a 3 to 6 member spirocyclic carbocycle substituted with a spirocyclic 3 to 7 membered ring, wherein the substituents are defined within the specification, processes for their preparation and compositions comprising said compounds. Such compounds are useful in the treatment of an HCV-associated disorder, such as HCV infection, liver cirrhosis, chronic liver disease, hepatocellular carcinoma, cryoglobulinaemia, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and/or a suppressed innate intracellular immune response.
