<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car navigation system that makes possible arrival at the destination without delay while reducing fuel consumption by using fuel consumption information and geographical information. <P>SOLUTION: A car navigation system comprises a receiver unit that receives traffic information and fuel consumption information from a source vehicles and/or the like in a specific geographical area, a central processing unit that generates route information on the specific geographical area by utilizing the traffic information and the fuel consumption information, and a transmitter unit that is supplied with the route information by the central processing unit and transmits the same to a target vehicle, wherein the central processing unit generates the running speed in each traveling direction, the average waiting length of time and the average fuel consumption quantities in each traveling direction of the source vehicles and/or the like by utilizing the traffic information and the fuel consumption information, generates the route information by utilizing the information calculated for each traveling direction and, if a search for a route with reference to the distance between the departure point and the destination reveals an equivalent route, generates the route information by utilizing the traffic information and the fuel consumption information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
