METHOD FOR PRODUCING HOLLOW BODY FROM THERMOPLASTIC MATERIAL AND APPARATUS FOR EXECUTING THE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a hollow body from a thermoplastic material including: molding at least two wound sheet-shaped preforms made of a plasticized thermoplastic material in two or more part tools for forming a cavity to form two complementary shells; forming a hollow body by combining the shells to be substantially closed; and fixing internal parts.

SOLUTION: The preforms 7 are located between opened parts of a tool having a partial cavity 5. The part of the tool is closed to a tool separator 9 disposed between the preforms 7. The preforms 7 are inserted in the partial cavity 5, and are molded by using pressure difference. In a separation step, the tool is opened again, the internal parts 13 of the hollow body to be produced are fixed to the shell, and finally the shells are combined by closing again the tool to form the closed hollow body.
